I am an artist and graphic designer living on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. Originally from the UK, I emigrated here in 2006. My background is in the Creative Industries and I have over 30 years experience as a graphic designer, working with high profile corporate clients, as well as small businesses. I started Mookoo Design 15 years ago when my family was young, and working for an in-house design studio was no longer feasible, and have been fortunate to work with some wonderful clients, as well as freelancing for local design agencies.
As well as design, my other passion is art and illustration works. I specialise in mixed media artworks incorporating fine detailed line work with ink, watercolours, alcohol markers, collage and acrylics.
I find inspiration in Asian illustration, manga and anime art, but also classic artists from the Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements, such as Gustav Klimt, Alphonse Mucha, George Barbier and William Morris, all known for their beautiful decorative styles. I am also an obsessive art/illustration book collector of all of the above!
