I am an artist and graphic designer living on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland. Originally from the UK, I emigrated to Australia in 2006. My background is in the Creative Industries and I have over 30 years experience as a Graphic Designer, working with high profile corporate clients, as well as small businesses.

I started Mookoo Design 15 years ago when my family was young, and working for an in-house design studio at the time wasn’t feasible. Since then I have been fortunate to work with some wonderful clients, as well as freelancing for local design agencies. In the UK, I worked for Agencies with high profile clients, working on branding and direct marketing strategies. I have over 25 years of experience using the Adobe Creative Software, in particular with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

In addition to graphic design, my other passion is traditional art and illustration work. I specialise in mixed media artworks incorporating fine detailed line work with ink, watercolours, alcohol markers, coloured pencils, collage and acrylics. My work has been featured in local Art Galleries and shops.

I find inspiration from my surroundings, as well as manga and anime illustration, but also classic artists from the Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements, such as Gustav Klimt, Alphonse Mucha, George Barbier and William Morris, all known for their beautiful decorative styles. I am also an obsessive art/illustration book collector of all of the above, as well as way too many art materials!
